AsisChem Inc. and University of Arizona are to Collaborate

Cambridge, MA - 5/29/2007 - AsisChem is working with the Custom Synthesis Laboratory (CSL) at the University of Arizona to provide both academic and industrial customers a broader range of organic synthetic experience and techniques.

CSL has been providing quality custom synthesis to the University of Arizona researchers as well as researcher across the state for the past 6 years. "The collaboration between AsisChem and CSL was an easy decision," said Dr. Ronald Wysocki the Lab Manager of CSL "at the moment CSL has a back log of requests for multiple step synthesis projects and too little manpower. The expanded capacity and the increased knowledge base have allowed us to take projects that we would have turned down and we can now scale up synthesis from bench top to hundreds of kilos."

Ilya Kuchuk, AsisChem's Chief Scientific Officer, had this to say about the collaboration: "this is our first step in an effort to bring affordable custom synthesis to a market that is a critical provider of basic drug discovery research. More patents and novel ideas that progress our knowledge within the biosciences come out of universities and colleges than any other source and we want to help them continue to advance understanding in this area."
