AsisChem Announces Two New Academic Collaboration Programs
Cambridge, MA - 7/19/2007 - In an effort to better serve the academic community AsisChem has initiated two new programs: Academic Custom Synthesis Services (ACSS) and Academic Discovery Partnership (ADP). These programs are designed to encourage fundamental scientific research and tailored to meet the custom synthesis needs of researchers in academic institutions, research centers and university-supported business incubators. "These two programs represent AsisChem's strong belief in the need for fundamental research and a great desire to support the advancement of science" said Bryan Roland, AsisChem Business Development Manager. "We are now in a position to offer custom synthesis to those researches who most contribute to our basic scientific knowledge."
ACSS program is designed to provide low cost, high quality custom synthesis to researchers on a molecule-by-molecule basis. "After getting a reduced price through the AsisChem ACSS program we were able to synthesize more compounds than we expected based on offers from other custom synthesis companies." Said Carlos E. Pedraza, Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Cleveland Clinic "This gave us the opportunity to explore more research avenues than we had originally thought were possible."
The ADP program provides a highly reduced price for long-term, grant oriented research collaborations. "Not only did AsisChem provide synthetic knowledge that was integral to preparing my grant application, they also helped to write and incorporate technical sections into the grant itself" said Dr. Parmjeet Randhawa, Professor of Pathology at the University of Pittsburg.
These programs constitute the first major step in an ongoing effort to forge closer ties with researchers in academia. In the coming future AsisChem will continue to develop and initiate programs to advance research at a fundamental level.
